Denise Dowse

Director, Recorded in Hollywood

I love being an Artist, an Actor, a Director, a Coach and a Teacher – it all allows me to entertain, to educate and to nourish the artist in me and in others. A middle child born in Honolulu, Hawaii to an officer in the US Navy and a mother who taught school, I caught the acting bug early. My love of acting grew in high school and I pursued and perfected my craft in college. Upon graduation, wanderlust captured, I explored the world living three and a half years in Bremerhaven Germany working as a Youth Sports Specialist, a Writer/Editor of the community magazine, and began an award winning theatre program; and then moved and lived for 4 years in Aschaffenburg Germany, where I was hired to assist in the design of a state of the art Music/Theatre Facility and implement an active theatre company, which grew to over 60 active duty military personnel their families and German Nationals. After my tenure in Europe, I returned to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. With as much life and work experience I have garnered, I would relish the opportunity to assist in the birth of a historical musical legend as he brings his life and story to the stage. In my work history, I have supervised staff members and volunteers; hosted major US Army-European Competitions and entertained visiting Commanders and Generals.
