New Musicals Inc. is hosting a ProChat with SAM CARNER, writer/lyricist half of the Carner and Gregor musical theatre team. (Not to mention educator and exceptionally interesting writer on musical theatre theory.) Moderated by NMI Member Representative Michael Gordon Shapiro.

Sam Carner is the multiple award-winning bookwriter and lyricist from the Carner and Gregor musical theatre team, as well as musical theatre educator and essayist. Some of Carner and Gregor's projects include the contemporary NYC show ISLAND SONG (which has been had over 40 productions worldwide), the post-Katrina New Orleans drama SECOND LINE, and the period romantic fantasy UNLOCK'D, for which Sam won the $100,000 Kleban prize for “Most Promising Librettist”. Together Carner and Gregor have won the Richard Rodgers Award, the John Wallowitch Award for songwriters under 40, thirteen MAC nominations and a win, and many other accolades.
