This prestigious festival of new musicals, now in its 18th year, features new musicals in various stages of development, presented in concert readings.  This year’s festival features six musicals, presented in two venues over two weekends.

??????????????????Bagels!  The almost-true story of the man who invented the automated bagel-making machine.  Book and lyrics by Chana Wise, music by Carl Johnson.  Directed by John Henry Davis, with musical direction by Emily Cohn. Featuring Emerson Boatwright, Eileen Mary Butler, Jeff Scot Carey, Cat Davis, Ali Deyer, Joshua Finkel, Jerry Hoffman, Lori Ada Jaroslow, Pat Loeb, Mark Lopez, Hallie Mayer, Mindy Montavon, Stanton Morales, Rehyan Rivera, Robert Towers, and Richard Lewis Warren.

Invisible Invisible – The story of two high school nerds trying to become popular who discover invisibility.  Book by David Hollingsworth, lyrics and music by David Orris.  Directed by Elise Dewsberry with musical direction by Bryan Blaskie and stage management by Bernice Mendez. Featuring Matthew Ballestero, Melvin Biteng, Christie Brooke, Nicci Claspell, J.D Driskill, Sara Gonzales, Jordan Goodsell, Maxwell Havas, Daniel Johnson, Sarah Kennedy, Constance Jewell Lopez, Dan Louis, Orlando Perez, Rehyan Rivera, Alyssa Rupert, Dekontee Tucrkile, Austin Tyler Valdez, and Lindsay Zana.

Off the Wall artcard Off the WallA new musical comedy loosely inspired by the 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre (winner of the 2014 Search for New Musicals).  Book and lyrics by Sarah Rebell, music by Danny Abosch.  Directed by Allison Bibicoff with musical direction by Jan Roper and stage management by Bo Powell. Featuring Matthew Patrick Davis, Travis Dixon, Kimberly Hessler, Gwen Hollander, and Jason Peter Kennedy.

New Voices logo New Voices Project – A concert of songs and musical excerpts written by the winners of the 2015 New Voices Projects – all writers under the age of 26. This is the third year of this competition, with sponsorship by Walt Disney Imagineering Creative Entertainment.  Featuring excerpts from new works by: Ben Boecker, Andre Catrini, Sam Chanse, Jacob Combs, Michael Finke, Bob Kelly, Madeline Myers, Bill Nelson, Mark Sonnenblick, and Joseph Trefler.  Directed by Scott Guy with musical direction by Ron Barnett and stage management by Jessica Bias.  Featuring Melissa Bailey, Chairman Barnes, Noel Britton, Daryl Diaz, David Holmes, Jennifer Winkler, Shannon Martinous, Matthew Sims, Dana Shaw, and Tedd Szeto.

Oklahoma in Wisconsin logo square Oklahoma in Wisconsin – In this exciting event, the members of the Academy Repertory Company present a nearly-ice-cold-reading of this charming new musical about a family in 1950s Fish Creek Wisconsin who think the movie version of Oklahoma! is going to be filmed in their little town.  Featuring ARC Members Evelyn Halus, David Holmes, Tedd Szeto, Christina Valo, and Peter Welkin.
