Rave Theatre Festival Begins in N.Y.C. August 9

Rave Theatre Festival in downtown New York City will offer emerging artists a chance to showcase their works August 9–25.

This is the festival’s inaugural year, to be held at Teatro SEA and Teatro LaTea Theatres at The Clemente Soto Vélez Cultural Center in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Producer Ken Davenport (Once On This Island, Groundhog Day) founded the festival to create more opportunities for new and creative writing to be seen by audiences. A total of 20 plays and musicals are set to be performed.
