Windfall, directed by stage and screen star Jason Alexander, closes June 19 at Bay Street Theatre. The show was Sag Harbor Center for the Arts’ 2022 season opener and began previews March 31 ahead of its June 4 opening. 

The play follows five office workers who bet all their money on a one-billion-dollar lottery to escape their maniacal boss but find themselves divided over the possibility of winning.

The cast features Spencer Garrett as Glenn Brannon, Ro Boddie as Galvan Kidd, Badia Farha as Kate Rearden, Abigail Isom as Hannah Higley, Talia Thiesfield as Jacqueline Vanderbilt, and Dylan S. Wallach as Chris Hart.

Before Seinfeld, Alexander starred in the original Broadway cast of the Hal Prince and Stephen Sondheim musical Merrily We Roll Along, The Rink and Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, winning a Tony for his work in the latter. His screen credits also include Pretty Woman and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Alexander and Pietsch lead the creative time with scenic and lighting designer Mike Billings, costume designer Christopher Vergara, sound designer Twi McCallum, props designer Lauren Page Russell, and production stage manager Christine Catti. Terysa Malootian is the assistant stage manager, and Rebecca Werner is the production assistant and COVID-19 safety manager.

The play is produced by John Yonover and Ken Davenport.

Broadway Bares, the modern-day burlesque spectacular produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, will return to live performances with a 30th anniversary celebration, Broadway Bares: XXX, June 26 at the Hammerstein Ballroom at 9:30 PM and midnight.

Cast members of this year’s show, including Christine Sienicki, Jaquez André Sims, and Brandon Stonestreet, joined special guest host Christopher Sieber (Company) in a special episode of Playbill: The Game Show. This time around, contestants don’t only earn points for correct answers, they have to remove clothing if they answer incorrectly. Watch this sizzling episode above.

Laya Barak, who piloted the last live edition, Broadway Bares: Take Off in 2019, again directs the upcoming benefit with associate direction by Jonathan Lee. Tony winner Jerry Mitchell, who created the fundraiser, and Nick Kenkel, a longtime Bares director and performer, continue as executive producers.

Broadway Bares Reveals Theme For 30th Anniversary Show; Choreographers Announced for In-Person Return

Broadway Bares was created in 1992 by Mitchell, then a Broadway dancer, as a way to raise awareness and money for those living with HIV/AIDS. In Broadway Bares’ first year, Mitchell and six of his friends danced atop a New York City bar and raised $8,000 for the cause. Because of the pandemic, the last two editions of Broadway Bares were virtual presentations. Since 1988, Broadway Bares has raised more than $21 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Jordan Fisher and Talia Ry⁠der⁠—who made her Broadway debut in Matilda the Musical and starred as Tessa in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story— play teenaged lovers in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between, slated to premiere July 6 on the streamer.

Fisher, seen in Broadway’s Hamilton and Dear Evan Hansen, served as executive producer for the movie and contributed original music. Back in 2020, he wooed teen hearts in the sequel to Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, playing the role of John Ambrose.

Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between is based on Jennifer E. Smith’s novel of the same name and centers around high school couple Claire and Aidan, respectively played by Ryder and Fisher, and their pact to break up before college. The movie follows their last date as couple, on which they retrace the monumental moments of their relationship. Watch the full trailer above.

Marking the feature film directorial debut of Michael Lewen and written by Amy Reed and Ben York Jones, the movie is produced by Matt Kaplan and executive produced by Fisher, Smith (author of the novel), Max Siemers, Matthew Janzen, Aubrey Bendix, Christopher Foss, and Ben York Jones. The upcoming rom-com also stars Ayo Edebiri (Big Mouth) and Nico Hiraga (Moxie).
