Titanic has a book by Peter Stone and music and lyrics by Maury Yeston. The Milwaukee Rep’s production is directed by Mark Clements with orchestrations by Joshua Clayton.
The cast includes Emma Rose Brooks, Lillian Castillo, Matt Daniels, Kelley Faulkner, Jamey Feshold, Nathaniel Hackman, Paxton Haley, Evan Harrington, Jeremy Landon Hays, David Hess, Zoah Hirano, Carrie Hitchcock, Philip Hoffman, Jared Brandt Hoover, Cecilia Iole, Kyle Johnson, Conor Jordan, Brian Krinsky, George Lorimer, Kelty Morash, Sophie Murk, Steve Pacek, Max Pink, Tim Quartier, Julio Rey, Rána Roman, Ogunde Snelling Jr., Lainey Techtmann, Vivian Vaeth, Andrew Varela, and Steve Watts.

Starring Daniel Craig in the title role opposite Ruth Negga as the unrelenting Lady Macbeth, the Shakespearean tragedy also features Tony nominees Maria Dizzia and Amber Gray, Phillip James Brannon, Grantham Coleman, Asia Kate Dillon, Emeka Guindo, Paul Lazar, Bobbi MacKenzie, Michael Patrick Thornton, and Danny Wolohan. The ensemble includes Che Ayende, Eboni Flowers, and Peter Smith. Stevie Ray Dallimore serves as standby for the title role.
According to a tweet posted by the production, the April 11 performance was cancelled in favor of a rehearsal for the cast “[d]ue to the technical complexities of the production and the physical safety of the entire company.” Within the cast, Negga, Dillon, Guindo, Lazar, Smith, and Thornton are all making Broadway debuts.
Macbeth is produced by Barbara Broccoli, The Shubert Organization, Michael G. Wilson, and Fred Zollo, along with Christian Anderson, Keith Anderson, Brian Carmody, Patrick Milling-Smith, No Guarantees, Brian Anthony Moreland, Annapurna Theatre, Berdel Productions, Robert Boyett, Caledonia Productions, Empire Street Productions, Jeffrey Finn, John Gore Organization, Mini Cooper, James L. Vivienne Benesch directs the cast, led by Emmy winner Debra Messing (Will and Grace, Outside Mullingar) and including Tony nominee John Earl Jelks (Sweat, Radio Golf), Enrico Colantoni (Just Shoot Me, Veronica Mars) in his Broadway debut, Crystal Finn (Roundabout’s Bobbie Clearly), Susannah Flood (The Cherry Orchard), and Christopher Livingston (Roundabout’s Something Clean).
The play follows Ernestine Ashworth (Messing), who, through the baking of a birthday cake over a 100-year period, examines her life and place in the universe.

Birthday Candles was commissioned by Detroit Public Theatre, where it premiered in 2018. It was originally slated for production at Roundabout in spring 2020. The play marks Haidle’s Broadway debut, but his work has previously been seen on New York stages at Roundabout Theatre Company (Mr. Marmalade) and Lincoln Center Theater (Saturn Returns).
Turlock High School was set to perform Joe Iconis’ hit musical Be More Chill from this Thursday, April 7th through today, Sunday, April 10th. Outcry from the site administration caused the school district to cancel the production after the opening night performance.
