Jaime Cepero’s Songs About Anxiety 2.0, showcasing original work from Afrolatinx actor, writer, and Gold Anthem Award recipient Cepero, will be presented at 54 Below August 17 at 9:30 PM.
Performers are currently scheduled to include Jason Veasey (AStrangeLoop), Kevin Curtis (MoulinRouge), Taylor A. Blackman (Tina—The Tina Turner Musical), Kristina Nicole Miller (The Lion King), Jada Valenciaga (Wig!), Destan Owens (Rent, TheLife), Michael Fisher (America’s Got Talent), Cartreze Tucker (TheColorPurple), and Genesis Callado.
Music director Darnell White will lead a rock band that features Sean Murphy on bass, Drew Cooper on guitar, and Orion Turre on drums.
The evening will also include songs from Cepero’s new musical Francois & The Rebels.
